These starter policies define how Blue Monkey Beats works as an independent record label with artist support, AI-assisted workflows and human review.
Terms & Conditions
Blue Monkey Beats provides artist tools, release review, music hosting, store features and manual distribution support. Artists must use the service lawfully and submit only material they have the right to release. BMB may reject, remove or suspend releases that breach these terms, appear misleading, infringing, abusive, spam-like or unsuitable for the label.

Artists grant Blue Monkey Beats permission to host, stream, promote, sell and manually submit approved releases to third-party distribution services where agreed. Artists remain responsible for the truth and accuracy of all release information and must own or control the rights in their music, artwork, lyrics, samples, performances and metadata.

Blue Monkey Beats welcomes original music created traditionally, with AI assistance, or using generative tools, provided the artist makes an accurate creation disclosure and controls the rights required for commercial release. Artists must identify generative tools used, what those tools contributed, relevant commercial-use plan or licence information, and any third-party audio, vocals, samples, lyrics or artwork. BMB does not accept unauthorised voice cloning, impersonation, copied lyrics, unlicensed samples, copyright-infringing soundalikes, misleading artist identities or mass-generated filler. A tool provider granting commercial-use rights does not by itself guarantee eligibility with BMB’s distributor or any music service. Distribution and store acceptance remain subject to their current rules and review. BMB may request supporting evidence and may pause or decline a release where rights or eligibility are unclear.

Artists must not upload music, lyrics, artwork, samples or branding that infringes another person or company’s rights. If a rights issue is raised, BMB may temporarily remove the release while the matter is reviewed. Repeat or serious infringement may lead to account removal.

Approved releases may be made available for streaming and, when enabled, downloads through the BMB store. Revenue splits, payment thresholds, payment timing and any manual distribution deductions must be confirmed in writing before public paid release. Until downloads are enabled, store download sales may remain switched off.

BMB stores artist account information, release submissions, review notes, rights declarations, AI declarations and sales records so the label can operate. Information is used for account management, release review, distribution support, sales reporting and artist communication.
